A RESORT-WIDE SHOWCASE

Now to 30th June

Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort is proud to present the work of Rubén Martínez Castejón, a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans painting, music, writing, and medicine. A Spanish-born artist who has resided in Vietnam for nearly twenty years, Martínez Castejón brings a unique cross-cultural perspective shaped by his dialogue between European and Southeast Asian landscapes and sensibilities.

With a background in science and a lifelong dedication to artistic exploration, he has developed a refined visual language that bridges analytical observation and poetic expression. Throughout his career, he has worked in oil, watercolor, printmaking, and collage, exploring themes of memory, transformation, identity, and the subtle traces left by time. His work has been exhibited in Barcelona, Mallorca, and Ho Chi Minh City.

In his most recent body of work, Martínez Castejón presents FITOPRINTING, a contemporary botanical printing practice that combines artisanal techniques with natural processes. Through the use of leaves, natural pigments, tannins, and carefully controlled methods of pressure and heat, each piece captures the organic imprint of the vegetal world. The works are created through collaboration with nature itself, resulting in compositions that are both refined and organically expressive.

Inspired by Vietnam’s lush tropical environment, the artist’s FITOPRINTING series reflects a deep connection to landscape, sustainability, and the beauty of natural transformation. Each artwork is unique, shaped by the individuality of the leaf and the subtle variations inherent in the process.

Through this exhibition, Meliá Ho Tram reaffirms its commitment to supporting contemporary artistic expression and offering guests enriching cultural experiences within a setting of natural elegance and tranquility.
